What we do

The love of Christ, in practical form.

Free food and music for the neighborhood every November. Tutoring in reading, writing, and math through our Learning Center. Computer training and job-skills workshops through our Community Training Center. Doors open for the people right outside them.

Christ said the second great commandment is to love your neighbor. We take that as a working assignment, not a poster.

If you live or work in this part of L.A. and need a hand, or you want to volunteer to help your neighbors, you are welcome here.

What's running

Programs open to the neighborhood.

Most of these have been part of New Antioch for years. All of them depend on volunteers.

Tutoring in reading, writing, math, and day-to-day life skills for kids, teens, and adults. Frequent free workshops and seminars.

As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

At New Antioch

From the 1992 unrest to today.

After the 1992 Los Angeles unrest, our founder responded by opening a Community Training Center on this campus. Computer classes, job interview skills, literacy. Three decades later the principle still holds: when our city hurts, we open the doors wider, not narrower.
